Alexis Bittar was started in the early 1990s with our founder, Alexis Bittar, hand-carving Lucite jewelry from his bedroom apartment in New York City. Lucite was then and will always be the foundation that makes up Alexis Bittar. That is why our Lucite jewelry is hand-carved and hand-painted in Brooklyn, New York.

What is Lucite Jewelry?

Lucite is a high quality material that is strong, resistant to breaking, scratching and cracking yet lends itself to being hand-carved. Coming in an array of hand-painted colors, we make high-quality Lucite bracelets, earrings, rings, and necklaces.

How to Care for Lucite Jewelry

Lucite jewelry is resilient but can deteriorate over time with excess light, heat or moisture. Be sure not to use lotions, perfumes, or oils in close contact with your Lucite pieces. It’s best to store your Lucite jewelry in a closed jewelry box protected from sun exposure and the elements.
