From the 1820s, this antique Georgian mourning pendant features a classic scene hand painted in sepia on porcelain. The scene features a forlorn woman leaning against a memorial with an urn. The monogram of the lost loved one "JMG" are painted on the memorial. The scene also features other common symbols found on mourning jewelry such as weeping willows for grief and a wreath of laurels for eternity. The scene is set under glass in 10k gold metalwork. The monogram of the owner is engraved on the back "AMC".
