East Coast Area Retail Manager

Alexis Bittar is a New York based fashion brand seeking an experienced retail manager for 4 of our current regional boutiques and two new stores set to open by end of 2012.

You must have the proven ability to grow sales, build solid teams and lead them to success in a high-end boutique environment. We are a small, but rapidly growing operation. Your four teams together will give you a total of about 12 employees.

Only well-qualified applicants will be considered. You must possess the following qualities in each area:

Sales Experience:

-At least 5 years of experience selling in an upscale, fashion retail environment -Ability to use your confidence and style to actively create sales

-Experience growing and maintaining a loyal client base.

-Well-versed knowledge of current as well as historical trends in fashion

-Ability to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm on the sales floor Management Experience

-At least 5 years of experience in management required -Experience managing through methods based on training and growth

-Strong understanding of how to deal with employee issues in an effective manner

-Ability to build a team environment based on mutual respect

-Observant and extremely detail-oriented

-Positive and solution minded

-Willingness to dig in and do what it takes to make goals -Adept at communicating clearly and concisely, in a professional manner

-Ability to identify and set priorities in order to most effectively manage both your teams’ and your own time for maximum productivity General Experience

-Absolutely must have strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel -General computer knowledge and trouble shooting skills

-Experience using a retail point of sale program

-Solid understanding of retail terms and retail math

-Basic merchandising skills

Some of your responsibilities in this position will include:

-Meeting and exceeding store sales goals through training, motivation and hands on selling

-Scheduling and payroll processing

-Sales and sell through reporting

-Overseeing merchandising and maintenance of the stores

-Inventory control

-Assisting in opening new stores

This position calls for someone who is hardworking, ambitious, and who has a strong sense of urgency. Alexis Bittar is a CFDA award winning Jewelry Designer based in Brooklyn.

We are searching for amazing salespeople.

Sales associates are responsible for creating the Alexis Bittar brand experience, while generating sales in a small boutique environment.

Prior retail fashion boutique experience or related fashion experience is required. Must have weekday and weekend availability.
