Chicago was super gracious and gave me an award for Best New Retailer in their city at the Night of Stars Awards. Other recipients were Lalique and Bloomingdales.

It was a really sweet event. I appreciate the Mid West sense of hospitality more and more. I think they are brought up to be incredibly generous and polite, unlike us pushy New Yorkers.

Fergie came aboard the AB wagon a few years ago when she did the cover of Rolling Stone. She seems a bit tamer and more graceful from the beginning days of The Black Eyed Peas.

That being said, she’s still out partying…

It was fun and intense to design the jewelry for Rihanna’s concert. Here she is opening night wearing some Wonder Woman cuffs we made for her.

I’m obsessed with the documentary on New York by Ric Burns. It’s the history of NYC from 1600′s – 2004. I wanted to walk the Brooklyn Bridge again after seeing how they built it. It’s so crazy to build a bridge… right?!

I love Cameron Diaz. She’s been the biggest fan for about 7 years now. Here is what she said about the line, which was so sweet and I didn’t even have to twist her arm to say it.

I hosted the opening of a play, “Sleep No More”. The sets were intricate and incredible. You felt like you were in a cross between “The Shining” and “The Birds”.

I recommend it, but you will have more fun if you pretend you are one of the actors.

The CFDA called and asked me to see if I could talk Iris Apfel into presenting the Accessories Award. I knew she wasn’t going to take that much convincing. Here are some pics from that night.

I finally broke down and got a dog. I’ve been wanting one for 5 years. His name is Habibi, which means “Sweetheart” in Arabic. He’s a 12 week old Tibetan Terrier. Already walking with a stick.
