I hate blogs. They always seem so pretentious or just down right boring. With that said I have been persuaded to do one by John who does eCommerce for my business. I will attempt to keep you on your toes by giving tid bits about my business, fashion and life in New York City.

I figured the best place to start was the design influences for Resort 2010. Typically, Resort collections feel slightly archaic and always remind me of bad plastic surgery on a yacht in Bermuda.

I personally love this image, but it’s not for everyone.

For this season I fused a few Icons to act as muses to the line. The first is Iman in the 1980′s. The other is Elizabeth Taylor in the 1960′s.

The metalwork we designed resembles fine jewelry metalwork of the 1960′s. Playing off the concept of volume and negative space which keeps the pieces light weight.
