Each piece of our jewelry is hand-crafted and therefore delicate. Please use appropriate care to enjoy and preserve our jewelry.
Wear and Storage
We recommend putting your jewelry on last, after you’ve applied perfumes, lotions, hair sprays, and all other cosmetics. Please avoid direct contact with salt water, excessive perspiration, and chemicals such as chlorine or sulfur.
After each use, gently wipe with a soft cloth and store pieces separated by pouches or other soft cloth in a jewelry box to avoid scratching. We recommend that you periodically inspect claps and other closures for secure fit.
Lucite, Elements and Miss Havisham Pieces
Excessive light, heat or moisture will deteriorate the quality of Lucite, plating on the metal and gemstones. The color of the Lucite and some gemstones may fade if constantly exposed to the sun. Exposing Lucite jewelry to water will cause the paint seal to disintegrate or peel off.
Our Lucite, Elements and Miss Havisham collections consist of non-precious metal (brass and base metal). The metal may darken or tarnish with normal wear. We recommend gently wiping the metal surface with a polishing cloth, however, excessive polishing will rub off the plating and is not recommended.
Because most of the stones used in our collection are natural gemstones and pearls, they may vary in shape, size and color. Inclusions can be seen in natural stones and are a part of their beauty. Pearls and most gemstones do not stand the force of cleaning agents, polishing cloths or ultrasonic cleaners.
Our Fine collection consist of precious metals (silver and 18k gold), precious and semi-precious stones and pearls. Avoid excess scrubbing, perfume, chlorine and saltwater.
Oxidized silver finish will tarnish and darken over time; this is the desired effect. Please refrain from rigorous polishing as it will remove this effect. A non-abrasive polishing cloth is recommended to remove mild tarnishing from high polish silver. Do not store silver jewelry in leather pouches.
18k gold jewelry can be safely cleaned with a non-abrasive jewelry cleaner. Always rinse completely and gently dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners on gold as they will scratch the surface. Always carefully read the warning labels on any jewelry cleaners before use.
Pearls will lose their luster if they are exposed to excessive amounts of perfume, sulfur, chlorine or salt water.
Apply warm water and liquid, non-ammoniated dishwashing soap to clean precious and semi-precious stones; in order to clean intricate designs use a soft toothbrush.
